NO SIESTA WHEN THERE'S A FIESTA

With the Mojitos flowing it was just the way to Chanelle wanted to celebrate her Hen's Weekend with the help of her three sisters (the bridesmaids) and her closets friends and family.

The plan: a backyard garden party in the afternoon before whisking Chanelle off for an evening of drinks and dancing in the city.

The theme: Mexican Fiesta.

Simply enough and something that is in abundance on Pinterest, if you know just the right words to search with. It was set to be a day of brightly coloured décor, and outrageous games that would keep the laughs coming.

And that's were we come in.

The first thing to execute was going to be the long table placed down the centre of yard. Brightly painted topped pineapples, cactuses and succulents. As well as vases of yellow, hot pink and purple flowers lined the centre of the table, in intervals between charcuterie boards.

Circle towels and tassel pillows were sewn weeks before by Chanelle's mum and scattered around the table for guests to sit on And feature green wall was used to double as a standing point for all photographs. Using ivy, and various bright coloured flowers.

A peacock chair hired from @prop_my_events became the throne of the day and even the decorative flamingo came into good use for any photo opportunity.

The biggest statement of the day wasn't the matching bridesmaids and bride-to-be dresses, all of which were purchased from Hello Molly. It wasn't even the 10 inch cucumber used in the game of 'Carve the Cumber'

It was the head pieces. Each bridesmaid and the bride herself all wore an individual headpiece to go with the bright theme of the day. The pieces include purple and pink phalaenopsis orchids as well as red and orange roses.

We look forward to helping Chanelle celebrate her wedding this coming week on the 16th of February.

With love,

Florica x
